Terms of Use

By using Nouns V2, signing in, applying for a Noun, adding an idea, submitting to a round, voting, or creating a builder profile, you agree to these terms.

Simple Rules

  • Use the site lawfully, honestly, and respectfully.
  • Only submit work, ideas, links, images, and applications you have the right to share.
  • Do not submit private, confidential, stolen, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or unlawful material.
  • Public ideas and round submissions may be viewed, discussed, remixed, copied, or acted on by others.
  • Nouns V2 does not guarantee funding, selection, payment, token value, privacy for public submissions, or protection from copycats.
  • Sponsors, round hosts, voters, applicants, builders, proposers, backers, and collaborators are responsible for their own decisions.
  • Wallets, transactions, taxes, contracts, deadlines, deliverables, payouts, and disputes are your responsibility.

Public Submissions

Ideas, round applications, proposals, profiles, comments, links, images, and other submissions may be public. Do not submit anything confidential or anything you are not comfortable with others seeing. If another person copies, adapts, funds, rejects, ignores, or builds from an idea they saw here, Nouns V2 is not responsible.

Ideas Board

The Ideas Board is for sharing possible Nounish projects and funding targets. Posting an idea does not create ownership, exclusivity, confidentiality, intellectual property protection, a funding commitment, or a promise that the idea will not be copied. You are responsible for protecting anything you consider proprietary before posting it.

Rounds

Rounds may be hosted, funded, administered, voted on, or paid out by third-party organizations, sponsors, voters, or collaborators. Nouns V2 may provide software, coordination, listing, visibility, or support, but does not guarantee that any round will run as described, that any submission will be reviewed, that any applicant will be selected, or that any payout will happen.

Spec Work and Applications

You choose how much time, effort, money, or creative work to put into a round application or proposal. Unless a written agreement says otherwise, submitting work is at your own risk and does not guarantee payment, reimbursement, selection, feedback, future work, or ownership protection.

Free Nouns and Membership

Applying for, receiving, holding, passing on, or being associated with a Noun V2 membership or free Noun is not a financial product, employment relationship, partnership, guarantee of governance power, guarantee of access, or promise of future value. Membership rules, eligibility, distribution, and participation expectations may change as the project evolves.

Sponsors and Funding

Sponsors and funders are responsible for their own budgets, rules, diligence, payout processes, tax treatment, legal compliance, and agreements with builders or round participants. Nouns V2 is not responsible if a sponsor, builder, proposer, applicant, backer, contractor, host, or recipient fails to perform, disappears, misuses funds, misses deadlines, or causes a dispute.

Builder Profiles

Builder profiles are self-submitted. We do not verify every identity, claim, skill, portfolio link, location, wallet, or social account. You are responsible for evaluating people before hiring, funding, collaborating with, or relying on them.

Wallets, Tokens, and Transactions

You are responsible for your own wallet security, transaction approvals, signatures, gas fees, network choice, tax obligations, and contract interactions. Crypto transactions can be irreversible. Do not connect a wallet or sign anything unless you understand the action.

Content and CC0 Culture

Nouns V2 celebrates CC0 and public-domain culture, but not everything submitted by users is guaranteed to be CC0, original, lawful, accurate, or safe to reuse. You are responsible for checking rights before using any content from the site.

No Professional Advice

Nothing on the site is legal, tax, financial, investment, employment, governance, or professional advice. Make your own decisions and consult qualified professionals when needed.

No Warranties

The site is provided as-is and as-available. We may change, pause, moderate, remove, or discontinue features, pages, submissions, rounds, profiles, or access at any time.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nouns V2 and its operators are not liable for lost funds, lost opportunities, copied ideas, failed rounds, rejected applications, unpaid work, third-party conduct, inaccurate submissions, wallet issues, contract bugs, downtime, data loss, or disputes between users, sponsors, builders, voters, or collaborators.

Updates

These terms may change as Nouns V2 grows. Continued use of the site after updates means you accept the updated terms.
